A chute is a channel used for conveying bulk materials; it typically features an incline that allows the materials to slide along its length.

A chute typically consists of two side plates and a base plate, the latter of which features a central groove designed to guide the materials toward the outlet.

Chutes are frequently employed for transporting bulk materials such as coal, ore, and limestone. Due to their simple construction-and the fact that their length can be extended or shortened as needed-they are widely utilized across a diverse range of applications.

When using a chute, attention should be paid to the bulk density and moisture content of the materials to prevent jamming or clogging; furthermore, the chute must undergo regular maintenance and cleaning.
